"For me, RŌSHI means the realization of a long-held dream—of independence, creativity, uncompromisingness, personal challenge, and individual shoes."

Welcome to RŌSHI.
"For me, RŌSHI is about giving people who value style and quality the opportunity to wear something special—something that represents their values and lifestyle. Every shoe tells a story, and that story begins with you."
Of old masters, great idols & deep connection.
Even as a young boy in the 90s, I was often surrounded by fashion. My father worked for a major American jeans brand, so I naturally developed a sense of fabrics, cuts, and the importance of quality and heritage at a very early age.
What fascinated me most back then was the variety of different fabrics and materials with their seemingly endless combination possibilities to create designs that, on the one hand, can meet different requirements in terms of form and function and, on the other hand, tell stories.
About the origin of a brand, its creation and development, the country and the people associated with it, their traditions and the reinterpretation and further development of these roots.

During my youth in a rather rural area, I was strongly influenced by typical male roles: real men, hard work, rude sayings, and rude clothes. Mopeds, leather jackets, rock 'n' roll, and the like.
On the other hand, when I was about 13, an older classmate gave me a cassette of the NAS album "Illmatic," and my life took on a new, more urban perspective: hip-hop.
Clothing became a part of culture, authenticity, and one's own attitude—socially, stylistically, but also politically. Shoes, in this case sneakers, were more relevant to me than ever in the late '90s.

Over time, due to my many years of experience in the clothing industry, working in Portugal and Italy, as well as stints in Hamburg, Berlin, Norderney and Münster, my interest eventually developed from streetwear and subculture to classic & heritage menswear and a serious passion for high-quality shoes - and I would like to share this passion with RŌSHI Mastercraft.
For me, it's about more than just shoes; it's about character, craftsmanship, and the interplay of tradition and modernity.
